The best Paris arrondissements for tourists (ranked from worst to best)
Here's where to find the best of Paris in our official ranking.
So I was doing my weekly walking tour of the Marais on Monday, and one of the guests asked me which arrondissement of Paris was the “best”.
I hesitated. I could have given 20 different answers, depending on the criteria, my mood, and on what the woman perhaps wanted to hear.
But instead, I told her about how I once spent 24 hours in each of the 20 arrondissements, and very scientifically deduced which one was the best.
So, here are the official results, taking into account everything from affordability, accessibility, tourist-ability, and more.
Before going any further, please note, this is a list for tourists. If you’re looking for a place to live, to go bird watching, or to go train spotting, then you’ve come to the wrong place.
No doubt, this post alone will give you an excellent insight into Paris, but of course, the best insight comes from buying our guide (or getting it free as a Patreon member).
