Let us take you around Paris (online and in person)
As the seasons change, now is the time to take in the sights and sounds of Paris.
Happy Friday everyone.
Winter is finally coming to an end and it’ll soon be time to take advantage of the famous Paris springtime.
But to start with, let’s do it via YouTube.
Upcoming YouTube video
At 9pm tomorrow (Saturday night in Paris), I will launch a live premiere of our newest YouTube video.
It features my in-studio conversation with Marie Segura from My Private Paris where we talked about the most underrated and overrated experiences in Paris. Some of you surely heard the episode last week, but now you can not only see it - but we’ve spliced it up with footage from around Paris so you know what we’re talking about.
I like this idea of a more visual podcast, featuring relevant scenes from Paris, and I would like to do more like it. It really bring the podcast episodes alive. Hopefully it will feel like you’re there with us.
Here’s the link to watch it tomorrow. I will be watching it live and writing comments in the chat section. Please join me! (To know what time it will be in your country, click the video now, there’s a ticking timer to explain it all).
If you like the video, watch it, share it, comment and like, show me that you want more, and I’ll make more :)
French frustrations (and some language flops)
As for the audio podcast…
As a reminder that life in Paris isn’t always sunshine and rainbows, this week’s podcast episode was a discussion between me and Lina about the frustrations (albeit occasional) that we continue to experience living in France.
You can read all about it here. If you haven’t yet had the chance to listen to the episode, you can do so below.
Having shared our personal language mishaps, Lina and I appreciated reading the fun feedback we received in return, recounting listeners’ embarrassing mistakes. We’ll be making some kind of a podcast about that soon. It feels good to know that we aren’t alone.
Not one, but two tours on Monday
And lastly, are you in Paris? On Monday, March 3rd, I'm going to try something new. After my regular Monday morning walking tour of the Marais, and after a lunch pause, I will cross the river and start "part two" of the tour in the Latin Quarter.
We'll pick up the track of the famed Philippe Auguste wall and go back in time to explore this fascinating part of town, which has recently captivated my intrigue in a whole new way. Want to join? Get in touch, there are a few places left on each tour, or indeed both!
If not, we'll keep sharing Paris online, and as always, you can get more if you become a Patreon or Substack member on the links below.
